Your sleep data is personal, and some of what you tell us is health information. This page explains exactly what we collect, why we need it, who touches it, and how you get it back or get rid of it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
It covers everything we offer: the Free Subjective Sleep Assessment, the Advanced Sleep Assessment, the Elite Sleep Coach subscription, Premium Sleep Coaching, and our work with organizations.
NEOS Performance is the operating name of CRS Circadian Rhythms and Sleep Inc., 5909 Briarwood Cr., Delta, British Columbia V4E 2X1, Canada. We are the organization accountable for the personal information described here, under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act.
Questions, requests or complaints: contact us.
Free Subjective Sleep Assessment
You give us your name and email address, and answers about your sleep — how you sleep, how you feel, and relevant health context. We use this to produce your assessment and to follow up with you about it. You pay us nothing for this, and you are under no obligation to buy anything. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Advanced Sleep Assessment
In addition to the above, we receive data from your sleep-tracking device and produce a detailed report. We keep the report and the underlying data so that we can compare against it later if you come back to us.
Elite Sleep Coach subscription
When you connect an Oura or Fitbit device, we receive your sleep and recovery data: time asleep, sleep stages, sleep efficiency, wake episodes, heart rate, heart rate variability, temperature and activity. We receive this only after you authorise the connection, and only for as long as you stay connected.
We also keep what you write back to us in email coaching — including things like alcohol, meal timing, stress, shift patterns and medication, when you choose to mention them.
Premium Sleep Coaching
Coaching sessions are held by video call. Those sessions are recorded and transcribed so that Dr. Landry has an accurate record of what was discussed and can prepare properly for your next session. Our meeting assistant notifies you in the call when recording starts, and it stays visible on screen throughout.
If you would prefer not to be recorded, say so and we will turn it off. It does mean we cannot keep detailed notes of the session, which affects how well we can follow up with you — but it is your call, and we will always comply.
Recordings and transcripts are held by our meeting provider (Fireflies.ai) and are treated as confidential health information.
Organizations and workshops
Where we deliver training or assessments to an organization, that organization may share attendee details with us so we can run the session. We use those details for that purpose.
Your individual results are private, and your employer does not get access to them. What we report back to an organization is a summary of the group as a whole. Where we draw attention to a particular data point, it is de-identified. Nothing we give an employer shows what any individual reported or recorded.
Online courses
Our courses are licensed to and delivered by First Responder Health. When you register for a course you are dealing with them, not with us, and their privacy policy applies to that registration.
Payment information
Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe holds your card details — we never see or store your full card number. We can see that a payment succeeded or failed, and the billing details needed for invoicing and tax.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We never have.
We want to be straightforward about this, because it involves your data.
For the Elite Sleep Coach subscription, your sleep data and your replies are processed using AI systems that we operate, in order to analyse patterns and prepare your weekly report and coaching emails in Dr. Landry's methodology.
Dr. Landry oversees the service, and the methodology behind it is his. Where your data or your replies suggest a possible medical issue, a person reviews it before we respond. How much of the routine correspondence he reviews personally will change as the service grows, but his oversight of the method and your ability to reach a person do not.
We do not permit your personal data to be used to train third-party public AI models.
Dr. Landry's coaching method has been built up over thousands of hours of client sessions. To capture that method consistently, we extract what Dr. Landry himself said in those sessions — his explanations, his analogies, the way he frames a problem — and use it to keep the method consistent across everything we deliver.
What clients said is not used for this. The material we keep for methodology purposes is Dr. Landry's own speech. Your own words stay in your record, used for your coaching.
We use a small number of service providers to run the business:
These providers act on our instructions. Some are located outside Canada, including in the United States, which means your information may be stored or processed there and may be accessible to authorities under the laws of those countries.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Sleep data, heart rate and anything you tell us about your health is sensitive. We treat it that way. Access is limited to Dr. Landry and the small number of people and systems needed to deliver the service. We ask you to share health context only where it helps your coaching — you are never obliged to tell us anything.
You can ask us to:
Ask us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and reputable infrastructure providers. Access to client data is limited to those who need it to deliver the service. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affected you we would tell you, as the law requires.
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page, and where the change is significant we will tell you by email.
